We concentrate on non-equilibrium physics in superconducting and semiconducting nanostructures. We also design and manufacture very practical devices such as Superconducting Single Photon Detectors (SSPDs), Hot Electron Bolometers (HEB) for quantum-limited detection of submillimeter (Terahertz) radiation, and HEB-based quantum-limited hetedoryne receivers of THz range. Our developments are widely used over the world in quantum communications and quantum computing, radioastronomy, ultrafast laser physics, nanooptics, etc.
